Nowhere to Run
There is nowhere I can run from the presence of God where His hand is not there to support me and guide me with His love. The questions in verse 7 are rhetorical in that God's presence is everywhere in His creation. Jonah discovered this fact in the belly of a whale!I need to remember this, especially when I feel let down or upset with others. I need to show the same love that's represented of God in these verses. I have a tendency to flee (either physically or emotionally, or both) when things go wrong in my relationships. I don't really like confrontation, but these verses are showing me I need to stay put in whatever the situation may be so that healing can take place. I need to take those less than desirable moments, those uncomfortable moments, and embrace them to fully learn how to love like God loves me.
Love Like God
- God loved us while we yet sinners and sent His Son, Jesus, to die for us (Romans 5:8).
- God's love leads us to repentance (Romans 2:4).
Think about how our relationships can change if we start to love like God loves us. I'm up for the challenge - how about you?
Are you taking this 8-week journey with the Good Morning Girls? I'd love to hear your thoughts on today's verses, so feel free to share in the comments below.
Walking in His Grace,
Laurie
