Many claim to have unfailing love,
but a faithful person who can find?
~Proverbs 20:6
Relationships consist of imperfect people. We have to be willing to remain faithful in our relationships and extend unfailing love to the other person when difficulties arise. So many times, when relationships get hard, we look for an easy way out such as ending the relationship altogether rather than dealing head-on with the issue that is trying to cause a division between you and the other person. It's the way of this broken world.
But as Christians, we are called to be different in our relationships.
Instead of running to the easy way out, we find here in Proverbs 20:6 another option when relationships get hard - unfailing love that chooses to remain faithful.
Are you struggling in your relationships - your marriage or maybe a friendship that has turned sour? Seek wise counsel from your Pastor or a Christian counselor who can help you through the circumstances that have caused whatever the division is so that healing can take place. Cover the matter in prayer. Go to God's Word and see what He has to say about the situation. Commit to unfailing love and faithfulness in the midst of the trouble.
When you seek to live out your relationships like this, you will shine the marvelous light of the agape love of God for others to see. And doesn't this dark world need more light?!
Walking in His Grace,
Laurie
